The American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) is offering a paid full-time internship opportunity under the direction of the Information Services department. 

Summary

The internship is expected to last 8-12 weeks. The successful candidate will provide design support to the Graphic & Web Designer. Job accountabilities involve designing and preparing graphics for the AAPM 2018 Annual Meeting website and social media accounts, assisting in the design and layout of print and web based materials associated with the AAPM Annual Meeting and other related duties as assigned. Position available with a flexible start date in May through July 28, 2018. Our office is conveniently located near the King St.-Old Town Metro. 

Qualifications

College student studying or recent graduate holding a degree in graphic design/arts who is adept at page design, layout, typography, spatial orientation, handling and manipulation of images, and freehand graphics desired. A conceptual thinker with exceptional attention to detail, a creative eye, and a strong interest in graphic design preferred. The ideal candidate must be a team player with strong organizational skills to participate in project development and excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff and the membership.

Proficiency in a Mac environment with expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (particularly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop) and Microsoft Office is required.
