Description
The American Institute of Physics (AIP) is seeking a Creative Services Manager who will establish and maintain the visual strategy, direction, and standards of quality for the design, production, and distribution of materials developed by AIP.
Essential Functions:
The role of the Creative Services Manager is to transform that vision into operational guidelines and processes that supports AIP’s position as a leader in the field of physics and the physical sciences. The ideal candidate will ensure that all deliverables consistently meet the highest standards for quality, creativity, accuracy, and appearance. Manages the daily operations within Creative Services of design, web production, desktop publishing, social media, and photography projects. She/he will supervise staff designers; manage requests and workflow and, coordinate freelance artists and designers as needed.

Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience with graphic and web design
• Previous experience managing a team of creative individuals
• Communication skills to successfully present materials and ideas to product owners
• Experience in an agency setting or equivalent who can handle multiple projects & manage a range of internal & external resources
• Experience implementing and maintaining corporate branding & visual style guidelines
• Mastery of creative applications and graphics systems
• Essential software: Adobe Creative Cloud — specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
• Drupal, HTML/CSS, Digital prototyping tool of some kind (UXPin preferred)
• Must have a digital portfolio
• Previous experience managing a team of creative individuals
