Description

               The American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT) is seeking a Marketing Coordinator who will
               develop, coordinate, and assist with the marketing program that supports the mission and goals
               of the Association. The Marketing Coordinator plays a key role in increasing the awareness of
               AAPT and its programs to its members, prospective members, corporate sponsors, and advocacy
               groups. The Marketing Coordinator will work with other AAPT departments, outside vendors, and other
               organizations to accomplish these goals, including outreach to other physics organizations such
               as the American Physical Society (APS) and the American Institute of Physics (AIP).
         
           Qualifications:
               An undergraduate degree in marketing, communications, public relations or a closely related discipline,
               or at least 2 years of marketing or closely related experience is required. The successful candidate will
              demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, will have experience with the creation and
              coordination of marketing materials, trade show exhibits, social media, social media analytics, and will
              understand branding strategies.  Preferred experience with email marketing software such as INFORMZ.
              Experience in nonprofit educational organizations is highly desirable. The Marketing Coordinator must be able to work
              effectively as part of a team that includes membership, programs and conferences, communications,
              and publications staff and must have the ability to work with other related professional organizations,
              outside agencies, and vendors to create marketing materials.
