Description
The American Institute of Physics is seeking an enthusiastic intern who is passionate about learning about critical business-related functions within Human Resources.

Summary:

This is an onsite position and can be 30-40 hours/week during the summer with possible continuation at 10 hours/week during the school year. Assignments will be project based and will support the HR department primarily in the areas of talent management, training & development, and process documentation. Completed projects from internship will be used by the organization for months and years into the future. This position will be a full member of the HR team, supporting office coverage and assisting with additional projects as needs arise.

Tasks include, but are not limited to:

1) Document HR processes by observing and interviewing HR team
2) Curate LinkedIn Learning video playlists on topics in management, coaching and Office 365
3) Write staff communications reminders to support Performance Management program


Qualifications:

• Undergraduate or graduate student. Preferred majors in HR, Management, Communications or Psychology 
• Must maintain a 3.0 or higher GPA
• Excellent writing and listening skills 
• Possess initiative and creativity 
• Able to work independently while being a member of a team
