Summary:
AIP is seeking a passionate and experienced Business Requirement Analyst. The Business Requirements Analyst plays a central role in the ongoing development and enhancement of AIP’s digital experience platform, working to bridge the gap between digital capabilities and the teams that need them for their work. As a member of the Digital Experience Team, the Business Requirements Analyst will collaborate with program leads and stakeholders across AIP to understand their goals and translate them into actionable requirements for technical implementation. The role requires real-world technical savvy, if not engineering experience, and an ability to engage with program leaders in constructive, problem-solving conversations about what they’re trying to achieve. To succeed in this role, you need to understand content strategy and migration, audience development and a bit about project management.
AIP is headquartered in College Park, MD and is offering a flexible hybrid working schedule; there is opportunity to work remote in combination with working on-site.

What you’ll do:
- Work closely with stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners, to elicit, document, and prioritize business requirements related to website content, features, and functionality.
- Analyze and evaluate the gathered requirements to ensure they align with AIP’s objectives and recommend improvements or optimizations where necessary.
- In collaboration with the Solutions Architect, translate business requirements into clear and concise instructions for front-end mockup development, considering user experience, design principles, and functionality.
- In collaboration with the Director of Digital experience, develop and maintain a schedule that prioritizes the requirements-writing process to assure transparency across the organization about this activity.
- Oversee content migration activities, ensuring smooth and efficient transfer of data between systems while maintaining data integrity and consistency.
- Utilize your understanding of AIP’s content management system to guide conversations with internal stakeholders on the effective, practical use of CMS tools.
- Utilize your understanding of AIP’s customer data platform to guide conversations with internal stakeholders on the effective, practical use of CDP tools.
- Utilize your understanding of AIP’s data analysis capabilities to guide conversations with internal stakeholders on the effective, practical use of data tools, including our budget and legislation trackers, as well as Snowflake.
- Collaborate with the development team to conduct in-depth analysis of Drupal-based systems, identifying areas for improvement, and providing recommendations for enhancements for when content is migrated to the Brightspot content management system.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of business requirements, mockup demands, system configurations, and project-related decisions.
- Effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, management, and external partners to ensure everyone is aligned on project goals, timelines, and progress.
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree is required. Project Management Certification preferred.
- Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to changing project requirements and business needs.
- Proven experience in eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business requirements in digital environments.
- Familiarity with system administration tasks, including software installations, configurations, and updates.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify issues and propose effective solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and foster positive working relationships.
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- Content Migration Analytical Skills: Ability to manage content migration projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data.
- Drupal Analysis Skills: Familiarity with Drupal content management system and the ability to assess its performance and capabilities.
- Customer Data Platform (CDP). Understanding: Knowledge of Blueconic or similar customer data platforms and their integration possibilities.
- Email Management Experience: Proficiency in creating and managing email marketing campaigns using Mailchimp or other similar tools.
