The American Institute of Physics (AIP) is seeking a full-time Talent Engagement (Recruiting and Training) Specialist to be an integral member of the Human Resources team with a focus on driving culture and core values for the organization. Leading the comprehensive recruitment process for AIP and our Member Societies to hire individuals with the best skills, knowledge and abilities to achieve the mission. Engaging the talent of staff from an interactive on-boarding process to curation and coordination of training and development opportunities to meet the diverse needs of the AIP team. This new opportunity aims to exceed staff expectations of participating in a learning environment where development is encouraged and training is accessible. This role will also continue efforts to provide staff routine and specials forums to connect, communicate and celebrate.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in HR, Business, Psychology, Sociology, or Organizational Development. The successful candidate will have experience in a professional/business setting with specific experience in recruiting and/or training adults. Must be a team player with the ability to work autonomously. High ethics and integrity. Customer Focus and attention to details. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required with competency in Microsoft Office products, especially with Excel and Word. Public speaking experience is preferred, however if minimal or no experience, learning potential and interest in developing public speaking skills are required. SHRM certification is a plus, interest in remaining current on best practices for talent engagement is essential.
