Summary:

The American Institute of Physics is seeking an Administrative Assistant to the Deputy Executive Officer (DEO). In addition to managing the DEO’s office and providing administrative support, this essential position will provide program support to Member Society Engagement, Government Relations and Marketing/Communications.

 

The ideal candidate will have experience with coordinating travel, meetings, multiple calendars, reports, drafting communication and providing follow-up for other office duties.

Qualifications

  • 3-7 years’ experience with office management or program support experience
  • Superb organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High level of competency with business software, specifically Office 365, Outlook, and mobile communications.
  • Familiarity with Mac OS and iPhone.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently under pressure of deadlines and with multiple simultaneous tasks.
  • Must be able to handle confidential information.
