Summary:
The American Institute of Physics (AIP) is currently seeking an ambitious and creative Marketing and Communication Specialist. This role will establish internal and external communications that effectively promotes AIP Career Network (CN) job sites and creates physical science career-related material. The ideal candidate will leverage relationships, research and creativity to write content for our CN partner’s job board websites, social media channels, print and digital newsletters and publications.

Other Key Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• Work with creative team on visual content designs.
• Attend partner meetings to promote the job boards to members and network to find new potential CN collaborators.
• Strengthen relationships between CN and Network partners.
• Assist CN Manager with annual marketing and sales goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; preferred Physical Sciences or related field with a concentration, minor or second major in Marketing, Journalism or English or related field.
• Five years relevant work experience blending writing, marketing and/or science.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines.
• Very strong writing, communication and organization skills.
• Passion for marketing/advertising industry news and trends.
• Experienced with Listserv software platforms.
