Summary:

The American Institute of Physics (AIP) is seeking an Annual Giving Manager to be a key asset to the future growth of AIP. This individual will be responsible for developing, executing, and leading a strategic comprehensive annual giving program.

 

She/he will work in collaboration with the Director of Major Gifts and External Relations to focus on acquiring, retaining and upgrading donors. The position’s primary responsibility is to strengthen engagement with annual giving donors and build a major gift pipeline of high-end annual donors.

 

Required Qualifications:

• B.A. or B.S. degree or higher with at least 5 years nonprofit annual giving or fundraising experience.
• Advanced skills in the area of persuasive writing, preferably including direct mail/email appeals as well as social media campaigns.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Donor database management preferred (e.g., Raiser’s Edge).
• An energetic, well-organized, and detailed individual who has a strong record of leadership, teamwork, and success.
• A strategic thinker with an innovative mindset and strengths in efficiency, timeliness, multi-tasking, and attention to detail.
• Excellent oral, public speaking, and written communication.
• Commitment to continuous improvement.
