Summary:

The American Institute of Physics (AIP) is seeking a part-time Intern for the Government Relations program to assist with public policy and fellowship programs.

 

This internship will give you first-hand experience within the government relations industry, with responsibility that will include but are not limited to

  • Attending science policy coalition meetings
  • Assisting with recordkeeping
  • Advertising and coordinating fellowship programs
  • Organizing science policy events and activities and scheduling meetings

 

The intern will work up to 10 hours per week during the academic year. This is a paid internship. Our office is located within walking distance of the College Park Metro and University of Maryland.

Qualifications

 

* Candidates should complete the entire application, upload a cover letter and a resume.
 

 At least two years of college completed with an interest in or knowledge of the federal legislative process and/or scientific community. Must be dependable, detail oriented and able to think strategically. Strong communication skills and experience with   computer applications including Microsoft Word and Excel are required. Preference will be given to candidates available through May 2020.
