The American Institute of Physics (AIP) is seeking a Full-time Web and Graphic Designer. The ideal candidate will oversee work as an independent contributor under limited supervision to design, manage, and maintain websites and print materials for the Society of Physics Students (SPS) and Sigma Pi Sigma (ΣΠΣ), the physics honor society.

Essential Functions:
Work with directors to oversee visual identity for SPS and ΣΠΣ, by providing solutions to a variety of technical work such as ensuring digital and print products for programs, events, publications, and marketing efforts are cohesive and meet AIP corporate branding standards. Update and maintain the SPS and ΣΠΣ web presence following web standards and best practices. Carry out design projects for other departments within AIP, as needed.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Design with minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in web design and graphic design. Familiarity with Drupal content management systems is required, as well as familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite & thorough knowledge of HTML & CSS. Experience with desktop publication preferred (InDesign or comparable software). Knowledge of e-mail marketing platforms and search optimization is a plus. Must be a self-starter with good interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
