SUMMARY:

AIP is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Digital Marketing Associate to join the Institute’s Marketing & Engagement Team. This role will work as an individual contributor and under regular supervision with project owners, the Senior Director of Marketing & Engagement, and the Director of Sales & Marketing to implement audience engagement, development, and sales strategies.

This role will be responsible for analyzing digital marketing campaigns, tracking key performance metrics, crating content for AIP’s various digital platforms, and providing insights to optimize marketing strategies. This role will also support digital marketing campaigns, content creation, social media management, performance tracking across multiple channels.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for digital marketing, strong organizational and analytical skills, a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment, experience with marketing analytics tools, and an ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Marketing & Engagement

  • Assist with curating and creating content (graphics, videos, etc.) for AIP digital properties, including website and social media.
  • Assist with deploying AIP’s social media strategy, leveraging AIP content as the driving factor and utilizing AIP audience segmentation.
  • Report social media analytics and metrics to internal clients.
  • Coordinate and evaluates social media advertising for internal and external clients.
  • Participate in marketing development and strategy meetings with internal clients.
  • Support project management in Monday.com marketing ticket system.
  • Assist in strategy execution to strengthen AIP brand and identity.
  • Assist with email marketing campaigns, including content creation, deployment, and performance tracking.
  • Handle ad hoc copyediting, writing, reporting and administrative requests.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Sales & Marketing

  • Help develop the Career Network (CN) partner relations program with the Director, including implementation of a quarterly analysis around job board performance/KPIs, status of sales, overview of marketing efforts, market context and partner feedback.
  • Produce regular communications for Career Network partner relations program to encourage co-promotion of the job boards and network, collaboration on key marketing, and revenue opportunities such as in-person and virtual job fairs and other areas of synergy.
  • Ensure Career Network partners deliver on their marketing obligations to earn their percentage of the revenue.
  • Collaborate with Career Network partners to ensure use of the job platform for their ongoing content, membership and meeting messages to support the director’s growth strategy for expansion of the network to new partners.
  • Support ongoing digital engagement campaigns for Career Network, Grad School Shopper (GSS), and Physics Today (PT,) according to audience segment, messaging and timing as planned with the director, other AIP stakeholders, partners and sales team.
  • Help develop acquisition campaigns for audiences aligned with PT, GSS, and CN across all relevant digital channels. Support efforts to build specific opt-in lists, maintain list hygiene and grow engagement.
  • With input from the director, develop a client success program for GSS.  This will include a QA/QC process to alert GSS clients of broken and missing links in their profiles, missing data and otherwise educate the dept on how to optimize use of their GSS Investment to make the most out of the profile and extend client retention. Efforts here will help the evolving GSS product and new marketing opportunities as ad properties expand across the SPS portfolio.
  • Provide product performance feedback the director will utilize to make high level decisions about future areas of expansion, redirection or sunsetting to optimize revenue opportunities and profit margins.
  • Assist with market research efforts (survey deployment/marketing, coordination of focus groups).

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-2 Years of relevant experience in digital marketing.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication.
  • Experience using digital marketing and database platforms, content management systems, and social media management platforms a plus.
  • Experience with graphic design tools is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of current and emerging digital strategies and trends.

COMPENSATION:  $64,952.00 - $71,447.00

The team works in a flexible, hybrid schedule and reports to our offices in College Park, Maryland and Washington, DC, as needed. Employees are required to reside in the DC Metro regions of Maryland, Virginia, or Washington, DC.
